USS Prometheus

              In 2374, USS Prometheus NX-59650 (the "NX" prefix denotes an experimental or prototype
                                      vessel) became Starfleet's latest and most advanced vessel -
               an experimental deep-space tactical ship designed in the aftermath of the Dominion War.

                              It has ablative armor, regenerative shields and a multi-vector assault mode.
                                                     It was the first ship with these specifications.

                                              In 2380, the USS Prometheus NX-03 was launched.
